Music is...

Even though I can't sing well,
I really love singing.
Not a beautiful sound at all,
yet I project myself into that noise.

But what about listening to music?
Walking down the street, studying—
without earphones, I feel strangely empty.
I tell myself I love listening to music,
and casually call it a hobby
to those around me,
but in truth, more than enjoying it for its own sake,
it's often just consumed
to fill the empty, forlorn space within me.

Even within music alone,
I pour my passion into singing,
yet I'm so careless about listening.
